Covid-19 - Re-Opening Arrangements

Harmans Cross Village Hall reopened on September 1st. A Covid risk assessment had been carried out and Covid secure measures put in place such as signage, sanitiser units and track and trace.
Limited permitted activities have resumed such as Cath Newman’s yoga, which must be pre-booked (see below), table tennis and junior martial arts.
Happily we were able to host one wedding before restrictions changed and guest numbers were further limited to 15. Our wedding couple had lovely September weather and their guests enjoyed a sit down meal at socially distanced family tables and instead of music and dancing enjoyed a pub quiz and a film. Certainly a wedding with a difference!
On Sunday October 18th we hosted our first HX Church service since lockdown.  The service was very well attended, and we plan to continue with it every 3rd Sunday at 6pm for as long as circumstances permit. This is a short, informal friendly service to which everyone is welcome. Chairs will be socially distanced in the main hall and masks must be worn.
I am sorry to say that Stalls at the Hall have been postponed for the rest of this year. Hopefully they will recommence in Spring 2021.

Clearly we will be living with Covid for some time to come and whilst some activities are happening in the hall there is nowhere near the activity that would normally be happening.
During this time we remain keen to build our team of volunteers ready for 2021. If you can help with hirer let-ins, running movie nights or you wish to join the committee- we currently need a minute secretary to help our committee secretary and new committee members are always welcome.
If you are interested in getting involved and would like to know more please contact Alison Clough on alison.an.clough@btinternet.com or ring 07768 558341.
