We would like to welcome you to our area and tell you about the Harmans Cross Village Club. The Village has no pub or meeting point, so we rely on meeting at our Village Hall in Haycrafts Lane, for various social functions.
The Club is independent of any other group and has no County or National hierarchy. It was formed nearly ten years ago, for men and women, to provide somewhere to meet one another and enjoy numerous activities.
We usually meet the fourth Thursday of the month from 2pm until approx 4pm and have a committee to run things smoothly and on a casual, friendly basis. Many people have made friends and joined other activities through the club. We realise some members are unable to attend the afternoon club and so we have evening Social Events for members and guests throughout the year.
We pride ourselves on being self sufficient and only fundraise when we need a little money in the kitty! Our general fund is from the Membership fees of £8.50 per person from January to December: (try us a couple of times for only £2.00 per meeting.
We have a programme including guest speakers: hands - on demonstrations, evening skittles at a local club; seasonal dinner/buffet dances and fancy dress: outings: participation in other village events such as Field Day in August: quiz nights etc. We enjoy the company of each other and have a relaxing time, with people who are caring and supportive.
If you would like to meet us, call at any time and we can tell you more about the club.
