Harmans Cross Resident's Club
Welcome to the Harmans Cross Residents’ Club section of the Village Hall website.
Click on any of the links at the bottom of the page to find out more detailed information.
The Residents’ Club, which is a sub-committee of the Village Hall Management Committee, was set up early in 2008 to provide members and their guests with somewhere in the village where they could meet, enjoy a drink and meet their friend and neighbours in a convivial atmosphere. A small annual membership fee is charged (see ‘Rules’) and members can bring guests. We also provide a bar for other Management Committee and Village Club social and fundraising events (but not for other hirers).
In the old hall we have tried to make it as informal and cosy as possible with the addition of spotlights above the bar and a rug and two bar stools in front of it,and dimmed lighting above the chairs and tables. We obtained a grant (see ‘History’) to buy more suitable bistro tables and more comfortable chairs.
We provide a range of wines, beers and soft drinks as well as cider and crisps. We meet most Fridays when the hall has not been let to other hirers. In the new larger village hall (from June or July 2010) with its additional meeting room, we intend to open every Friday during the rest of 2010 to assess demand from our members. We hope to enlist additional members when the new hall opens. To join, please complete the application form from the ‘Rules’ link below and follow the instructions.
We hope you enjoy our pages on this website.
